Photo Tornow – Roberto Ackermann

Photo Tornow is a family run business situated on Petit-Chêne, in the heart of Lausanne. The studio was originally opened in the 1920’s and since taking over in 1984 I have stayed faithful to the original commitment which make the studio famous: portraits, family photos and restoration of damaged photos. With the growing demand I have also added reproductions of paintings and passport photos to our list of services. The accuracy of our work has lead us to becoming one of the most highly recommended photo studios, by all embassies, for Swiss and foreign passport photos.

My wife Myriam and I make every effort to ensure you are relaxed and comfortable from the moment you arrive at the studio. With over thirty years experience we know the best quality of photos can be achieved when you are at ease. We’ve been told our calming music and professional approach has helped.

Professionally trained in the Photography school in Vevey, my years in the dark room have prepared me for the migration in to the world of digital imaging. Over the years I’ve gained invaluable experience in photographing people in different ways which best complements their appearance or desired look. With the increased demand for high quality portraits suitable for social networks, I include a copy of the portrait photos specifically optimized for sites such as LinkedIn. First impressions count and none more so than on this professional social network.

We look forward to welcoming you in our studio.
